In January of this year, John Galliano renewed the soul of fashion with his Artisanal Collection for Maison Margiela. There was an energy and emotion that brought many like myself to tears. Runways operate much like an orchestra, and there are a number of instruments used to tell a story in a limited amount of time. So everyone must play their hearts out to really captivate an audience. A star player in the Overture of this collection was the legendary makeup artist Pat Mcgrath. The makeup that burned bright on trending pages for weeks reaffirmed the role of beauty in the Fashion Industry. The harmony between the two can transport the audience and model into another universe. Together they create magic.
